I have to be creative! I love to pray and meditate on one to two verses every day. I ask the Lord to give me a verse specifically for a new day and I will often write that verse on a 3 x 5 index card and carry it with me all day long. I will read it over and over again as I am waiting to pick up my children from school or while sitting and watching them play in the tub at night.
I pray often and strive to commune with the Lord all through out the day. The Holy Spirit is with us at ALL times and, I truly pray often during the day. I pray as I walk into the grocery store, “Lord, please help me to find creative and nutritious food for my family in here.” Or before having to correct one of my children, “Lord, please give me a grace focus for my child in this moment and wisdom.”
I love to pray for my friends and my family. I try to ask my close friends, “How can I pray for you today?” I feel so honored to be able to petition our Almighty God on their behalf. God truly hears our prayers and He is faithful to answer!
I carry my Bible in the passenger seat of my car (in front). There are often little moments in the day when I can reach over and read for a minute. The Bible in my car is a visual reminder that no matter what happens that day, the Lord already has it all worked out.
