After 5 years...the last chapter
It took 5 years, but this Wednesday night our small group will read the last chapter in the New Testament. In 2006, some 5 years ago, we started with John chapter one and proceeded--at the rate one one chapter per week--through to Revelation 22. Then we went back to Matthew chapter one, through Mark and on to Luke. Tomorrow our home group will read & discuss Luke 24 and finish our first journey together through the New Testament.
There are exactly 260 chapters in the New Testament. That's neat, because at the rate of one-chapter-per-week (52 chapters per year) it takes precisely 5 years to complete! Perseverence pays off; it's been a great journey & we've seen a lot together. Congratulations to all the group members!
